Light should be felt before it is seen
It should not shout from the ceiling. It should shape how a space feels, and quietly make people want to stay.
The name says what we believe.
Lumi
From the Latin lumen, light. The craft we practise every day: optics, colour, glare and control. The unglamorous part, and the part that decides whether a scheme works.
Verse
From universe. Every space is its own small world, with its own people, hours and moods. We light each one for what it is, not for what photographs well.
Beyond boundaries
Indoors and out, homes and stages, a single fixture or a full facade. We do not stop where the brief or the building line ends.
To bring considered, lasting light to every project we touch, from a single room to an entire city block.
To be the region’s most trusted name in light, known for spaces that look as good at night as they do by day.
Five stages, every project
The same sequence whether it is one room or a whole facade. You always know which stage you are in and what comes next.
- Brief and siteWe start with how the space is used, not how it looks on a plan. Who is in it, at what hours, doing what. We walk the site where we can, and work from drawings and photographs where we cannot.
- ConceptA first lighting concept: which surfaces are lit, which stay dark, where the eye should land, and what the room should feel like at each time of day. Shown as reference images and a marked-up plan, not a parts list.
- Technical designThe concept becomes numbers: layouts, beam angles, lux and uniformity calculations, glare checks, circuiting, dimming protocol and a full fixture schedule with a Lumilight product against every position.
- Supply and installFixtures, drivers, channels and controls delivered to programme, installed by our own crew or alongside your contractor. Driver locations and access are planned before anything goes in the ceiling.
- Commission and aftercareAiming, focusing and scene setting on site after dark, with the furniture in. Levels measured, scenes saved, and the settings documented. Then we stay reachable, because fixtures outlive projects.
A few things we hold to
Some of the most useful decisions on a lighting project are refusals. These are ours.
It is quick to draw and it lights the floor — the one surface nobody looks at.
Not across one space without a reason. Nothing makes a finished room look cheaper faster.
If a fixture is in your schedule, we have had one switched on in front of us.
We do not quote a low design fee and make it back on the fixtures. The schedule price is the schedule price.
Start with the space
Tell us how the room is used and we will tell you how we would light it.
