Event lighting is a logistics job as much as a design one. The rig has to go in during a short access window, work first time in front of an audience, and come out again without marking the venue. We plan the whole run — load-in, focus, programme, show, strike — against the venue's actual schedule.
On the design side it is about moments: the room as guests arrive, the shift when the speeches start, the look for the dance floor. Those are cues, programmed in advance and run from a desk, not improvised with a dimmer on the night.
